Approach
Dr. Peter Kass spent years refining a more personal kind of psychiatry. His appointments are unhurried, patients can reach him directly, and his treatment brings together evidence-based medicine, talk therapy, lifestyle changes, and holistic care.

But as Aspen Grove moved beyond its roots in sports psychiatry and got ready to grow past a solo practice, its brand was still introducing people to a version of the business he’d outgrown.

Instead of a facelift, we started with a bigger question: what does it feel like to receive care from Aspen Grove? That answer shaped everything, from a refined name and search strategy to a visual world drawn from Impressionist landscapes, botanical photograms, and the colors of San Diego.

The result feels like a trusted guide: credible and premium, but never cold.

brand design
Aspen trees don’t really grow alone. A grove is one living system, connected underground by a shared root network.
The perfect metaphor for a practice where relationship is the foundation of care, so we built the identity around it.
A brand only works if it keeps showing up after launch.
Along with the website, we gave Aspen Grove tools the team can run with on their own: photography guidelines, business cards, a flexible one-page template, and a Mailchimp newsletter system. That way the same feeling carries through every step of the patient experience.

Designed around the questions patients actually ask
People looking for a psychiatrist often don’t know where to start. The new site guides them through it: who Dr. Kass works with, how his approach is different, what the intake process looks like, and how to book, with scheduling built right into the page. Subtle video, botanical photograms, and landscape paintings keep the experience calm and human instead of clinical.

Psychiatry & Private Practice Branding FAQs

What makes a strong brand for a psychiatry or therapy practice?

One that communicates how you care for patients, not just your credentials. Your philosophy, tone, and visuals should give people a feel for what working with you is like before they ever book.

How do you make a mental health brand feel premium without feeling clinical?

Replace stock imagery and cold medical cues with a visual world that feels human: art, nature, texture, warm color, and plain language. Aspen Grove’s brand pulls from Impressionist landscapes and botanical photograms to feel polished and approachable at the same time.

Why not use a template or AI-generated branding?

Patients choosing a provider are looking for signs of care and intention. Templates and AI-generated brands tend to look like everyone else’s. A custom brand reflects your specific philosophy, and we still give you templates of your own to run with.
